Rotating Objects in Inventor

Hello,

I drew an object in inventor, but somehow I managed to accidentally rotate the object such that it is no longer at 0 degrees from the plan view, but at 4 degrees. I would like to rotate the object back to 0 degrees at the plan view. Any suggestions?

That would most likely be a problem with one of your sketches, I would start there.

Failing that show us the part so we can look at it.

Ipt file or iam file?  More information is needed.

The actual files (attached here) would supply the necessary information.

This is the top view of my model in .iam. As you can see, there are two planes visible (when I switch my view to the top), instead of one. I need to fix this.

First -

to attach an image here, simply hit the Print Screen button in upper right corner of your keyboard and then Ctrl V in MS Paint

or

better yet

Go to the Start Windows Globe in lower left corner of the screen and type Snipping Tool, select the icon to start the Windows Snipping Tool and then select the area of the screen that is of interest.

The solution to your problem will be -

you most likely Ungrounded a part you should have left alone.

Now with all parts ungrounded expand the Origin folder of the assembly and the Origin folder of the logical grounded part of the assembly (often this would be a machine base).

Apply Mate-Flush constraints between the XY-XY, YZ-YZ and the XZ-XZ Origin planes of the assembly and the logical grounded part.

As indicated - attach your assembly here if you cannot figure this out.
