Hi

I copied an image and pasted it into an inventor drawing. Now I need to rotate, but I couldn't find any feature.

Thanks

Hi Kiri,

Is it in a drawing sketch or sketch symbol? Please share the file so the forum experts can take a look.

Many thanks!

By using define new sketch symbol, clicking on drawing it will open into sketch, insert your desired image, save and name the symbol(unique names if you want multiple images in one drawing pack) then choose insert sketch symbol, choose your desired image and just to the right of the list you will see the rotate box, choose the number of degrees and press ok. Each new image will require a new sketch symbol definition.

Perhaps there is an easier way that I'm unaware of without editing the actual image files rotation in another application.

Hopefully those are of some help.

Hi Folks,

Kiri's case is that the image was brought into the drawing using Insert Object (OLE) workflow. The image is inserted as is. The size can be changed but it cannot be rotated. To rotate the image, the embedded image has to be edited in an image program like Paint or Image Editor.

Many thanks!

It works well.

Note: Ensure the file is not used as a drawing template.
