Revision Tag not following revision level in Revision Table

I have searched and can't seem to find a resolution.

I have a drawing with 3 sheets and am at Revision 3.  On sheet 1 the revision tag is still at revision 1 while the table is at revision 3.  If I right click on a revision tag it only shows Tag Revision 1 and no other higher revisions.   I am increasing revision level on the table by right click add revision row.  I have deleted all of the tags and tables then reinserted with no change.  I am unable to find what is driving this.   For a test I inserted the table on sheet 2 and the revision tag inserts at the appropriate level, 3.   What am I missing that is "driving" this incorrect revision level.

Hi! The revision tag and table in Inventor drawing are more like a label. It is not enforced strictly as a file managing system. You as the designer can dictate what a revision is and define when the revision is taken. If you want to manage the file revision, you should use a PDM system like Vault.

Many thanks!

Hi

The only thing I can think of is that something went wrong with the 'Entire Drawings' and 'Active sheet' options.

It will require a little checking on your drawing, and at worst, re-do the sheet. Make sure you delete the table and all tags before trying to insert the new table. For your drawing it should automatically be at Revision 3.

I deleted all revision boxes and tags then saved the drawing and closed it.  Upon reopening I inserted a rev box on sht 1 and increased the rev level to 2.  Inserting a rev tag inserts at rev 1.  Interestingly inserting the rev tag on sht 2 (with no rev box on sht 2) it inserts at rev 2 and right click "Tag" shows Rev 1 and Rev 2.  I am really hoping to understand the cause and not have to redo the sheet.  I have attached a zip file of the Pack-n-Go

Hi John

Thanks.  I am not trying to drive it like a  PDM only keep the rev tag consistent with the rev table.  If the rev table is at 2 or 3 on sht 1 and insert a tag it inserts at 1 not 2 or 3 as it should but only on the first sht of the drawing.   It is like the rev tag is not associated with the rev table on sht 1.

Hi

It worked for me, I deleted the tags and the table, I then re-inserted the table, and the tags all worked correctly.

Is it possible you missed a tag hiding on one of the views, see attached? Delete the three indicated items.
