The Revision Cloud Command stops "drawing" the line in the middle of the operation.

Video attached.

Hi! It looks like a bug to me. But, what is strange is that other Revision Clouds on the same sheet seem to work fine. Try this. Go to Tools -> Doc Settings -> Drawing -> uncheck "Enable cross hatch clipping."

Does it work better now?

Many thanks!

No, it changes nothing.
I've found in the forum other people with the same problem, but no solution.

Hi! The error message seems to indicate more of a system failure. Try this. Close Inventor. Make sure all critical Windows updates are installed. Install applicable Inventor updates.

For Revision Cloud tool, did you install from the \SDK folder for the given Inventor release? Or you carry over the older RC tool from prior release?

You can share the files with me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com) if this is a file specific issue. I am more than happy to sign NDA if need be (sign up Inventor feedback forum at https://autode.sk/InventorBeta and we will be bounded by mutual NDA).

Many thanks!

This message appeared after i've installed le Cloud Revision, that's why i though it could be linked.

All windows updates installed.

All inventor updates installed.

Yes, the revision tool was installed from the \SDK folder (2020 for inventor and for the revision tool).

That's not a specific issue. I've attache a video where i have the problem with a new empty drawing.

Hi! Just a guess, please try installing 2020.3 update. Also make sure .Net 4.7 is enabled (Search -> "Turn on or off Windows Features").

Many thanks!

To avoid the dialog when close Inventor please make sure don't load the AttributeHelper and Interactive Tutorial addins together if you don't use them. We fixed this issue in the later dot release, please update to Inventor 2020.3.

As for the Revision Cloud issue, can you also try below to help narrow the issue:

1. Unload all other addins, and only load the DrawingTools, and check if it works there?

2. On a clean sheet to create revision cloud, can it success?

3. Can you reproduce the problem with a simple and unconfidential data that can share to us?

If this solves the problem please click ACCEPT SOLUTION so other people can find it easily.

This isn't a solution to the bug you are having but a suggested change in workflow. I stopped using the Inventor rev cloud tool a few years ago and instead draw my revision clouds in AutoCAD. It takes more time and requires your Inventor drawings to be in .DWG format but is much neater and easier to use and lets you use polylines, rectangles etc. I simply open my .DWG in AutoCAD and draw the revcloud on layer 0.

I very much doubt Inventor will get a rebuild of the revcloud tool in the near future so it might be worth considering the above workflow.

Inventor Release: 2020.3 (build: 373), date 04/02/2020.

.Net 4.8 (528040)

They are already installed.

I've enabled all options for .net 4.8

I've tried once again and it still not working.

Hi! I am sorry if I repeat myself. Have you tried uninstalling the User Tools and reinstalling them?

What about running Inventor as Admin (right-click on Inventor icon on desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run as Admin).

Many thanks!

I've finally found what is the problem.
Apparently the tool come with a "minimum arc length" set to the value of 0,000 mm.

Since i have changed it to any value other than 0,00, I haven't got any problems.
