Reverse Engineering

Hi there. I would like to ask if there is a way to build a surface on XYZ points in Inventor. I would like to measure manually an object, design it approximately as best as possible and then 3D Print it. So what i'm asking is if there is any way to give inventor a number of XYZ points and build a surface on these points?

Hi! Out of box, the closest tool to do that is called Fit Mesh Surface. You can use a brush-like tool to select mesh and fit a surface over the vertices. There might be other plug-ins available.
