Think you got a bug in Retrieve All Model Dimensions On View Placement option for Inventor 2020. When I placed a view at 1/2 scale I get no dimensions but at 1:1 I get the dimensions. Seems if you don't use the scale Inventor wants you to use, Inventor won't place dims on view placement. This is only happening with .ipts created in 2020, placing older version .ipts into 2020 .idws work fine. Running 2020.1 on Windows 10 (x64)

Create new ipt.... new drawing... place view.... Retrieve model dimensions.

Works at the 5 different scales I tried.

Try a restart of your machine and/or Inventor.  I am not seeing this behavior either.

Hi! I am not seeing an issue either. Does it happen to one file or other files too? Please share an example.

Many thanks!

Doing a little further investigating here's what is happening, on initial view placement (default) the model dims come in regardless of scale.

Odd_Dim_Behavior_1.jpgOdd_Dim_Behavior_2.jpgI'm losing the dims when moving the view on initial placement.

Odd_Dim_Behavior_3.jpgOdd_Dim_Behavior_4.jpgBut if I change the scale before hitting OK the dims come back.

Odd_Dim_Behavior_5.jpg  Change 1/2 scale to 1:1.Odd_Dim_Behavior_6.jpgThe dims come back.Odd_Dim_Behavior_7.jpg I can live with it as long as it isn't a symptom of a larger issue, it's just a little odd.

Hi! This is a very good catch! I think the issue started when drawing preview is allowed to reposition or rescale. This is a bug. I will work with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks for the detail info!
