Retrieve assembly constraint dimensions though a drawing.

I've seen a similar question asked a few years ago. I am currently on Inventor 2022 Professional and I am trying to bring in a dimension from my assembly that was created using a mate constraint to a specific distance. Is this possible to do this? I would like to keep all of my dimensions directly associated if possible.

Hi! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to retrieve an assembly constraint offset value in a drawing. You may create 3D dimensions (3D Annotation) in the assembly, which can be retrieved in the drawing.

Many thanks!

When I need to use a non-existent dimension on a drawing, I'll start a new sketch, then project the features in question onto this unconsumed sketch and dimension it (even though they're only reference dimensions) so I have something to import into my drawing.

Is this something that Autodesk is looking to enhance in the future? Creating (2) separate dimensions to create one in the drawing is redundant. Other CAD software I have used enable you to bring these in directly.
