Retangular pattern in 2D punch representation

Hi,

I'm creating my own punch iFeature tools. One of the forms we use is created by a series of hits along a straight line 10mm apart. I thought I would represent this in the drawing using a 2D representation of the punch feature. Unfortunately it seems that the number of occurrences of the rectangular pattern is not recalculated when inserting the punch feature into a part, although the spacing between repeats is. As shown in the attached image, there should only be 4 repeats, along the length of the line.

Is this a known bug, or just something that's unable to be done?

Hi! Unfortunately, I don't think there is a workflow here. The equations that are used in the parameters are not extracted. Only the last used values are extracted. Such implicit parametric relationship is not captured by iFeature/Punchtool.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that's what I thought might be the case. I thought it was interesting that the spacing between the patterns recalculated, but the number of occurrences didn't. Thanks!
