i USED TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS COMMAND

 

rECENTLY WHEN i HIT THE BUTTON NO WINDOW APPEARS WHEN i HIT THE BUTTON THE SECOND TIME I GET THAT DEAFENING SOUND INVENTOR MAKES THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CHURCH BELL OR SOMETHING!

 

cAN I GET THIS THIS TO WORK SOMEHOW IT REALLY HELPS WITH REPETATIVE WORK

Inventor makes the sound "LIKE A CHURCH BELL OR SOMETHING!" because the window is already open, I suspect.  That means that it is not visible either because it is hidden by something else, or that it is off the screen.

 

Try this:

  • click the tool button (Replace Model Reference in Drawing)
  • Type Alt-Space M (Windows Move command), followed by one of the arrow keys
  • the window should now be attached to your mouse cursor-- click to place in a useful location

If this doesn't produce the Replace Model Reference dialog, then your problem is beyond my pay grade...
