Replace component - unable to edit constraints

Hi there,

I've noticed recently if I use Replace Component to put a differently sized part/sub-assembly into a main assembly, many of the constraints then become uneditable.  They are still sort of there in that the part is locked in place but it hasn't moved with the resized, replaced component.

I have tried rebuilding all but it doesn't solve the issue.  It seems only to have been an issue since the change from Levels of Detail to Model States.

Any ideas other than deleting each constraint in turn and reapplying?  In the screenshot here, the lamp should be on the fixing holes but is locked in place!

Thanks

Make sure your Positional Reps are set to "Primary", otherwise it won't let you edit those constraints.

Hi! I could be wrong but I vaguely remember seeing similar cases like this. Some of the constraints are corrupted. They were corrupted before migrating to Model States. The corruption persists. Those constraints may need to be recreated. Or you may want to demote the components to another assembly and use the new assembly as the top-level assembly (a much more involved task).

Many thanks!
