Hi shmartin89,
The only way I can see to do this is to go to the Manage tab > Styles Editor button and create a new Text style, called something like Tiny Text, and set the text height to 0.001" or 0.01 mm .
Then edit the View Annotation style and set view type to Detail View, then set the text style to use the Tiny Text style.
I think this will give you the results you're looking for.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

I'm sure there are a number of standards requiring the detail view reference to which view the detail came from. If you aren't concerned with this reference, then a Crop-View would work as well
HI Blair, I will using my own view labels to display the view information.
I have created my own sinnce inventor doesnt allow you to alter the design.
Cheers,
Sandy
Also, instead of using Tiny Text style it should be allowed to RMB on Detail View fence -> Text... and delete the <VIEW> indentfier.
Thanks
Ladislav
Well ........ it takes a several steps or tricks with Inventor to perform simple tasks which Mechanical Desktop does in just two clicks.
I can list a dozens if not hundreds most commonly tasks used which Inventor does clumsy job.
