Hi, usually the problems with the "shell" are produced by "noises" in the geometry of the body.
In your case I think that the error occurs in the lower base of your loft, and in trying to achieve the complete operation in one step (see at the end of the video how the edges of the initial form have changed after the operations are achieved what you wanted)
In order to achieve the "shell" I defined the loft as new solid and then try to achieve the result with operations like combine and delete face.

I hope I have been clear and that the video can clarify all your doubts. regards

Sergio's file seems to be done in 2020.

Parallel to his version, I've done mine with 2019, nearly at the same time

Hi! Here is a solution using Surface Modeling technique. I just create a quarter of the Loft and then pattern in 4 times. Also, I use Fillet to round the edges instead of using small arcs in Loft. Please take a look.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson, another way of modeling, but I don't like the curved edges of the fillets. Sure they would be better with variable fillets after some testing.

But I tried your solution with already filleted sections for the loft; it's looking better for me.

Slight disappointment: I couldn't get success with shelling that the easy way.

2019 IPT attached.
