Rectangular Pattern uneditable. Can't edit pattern after

I created a sketch and then used the Rectangle pattern tool. However, I can't edit the pattern after. Example, remove construction lines, increase the number of times the pattern is repeated or change the sketch like add something to the sketch. The new sketch does not transfer to the rest of the pattern. I also don't see the Rectangular Pattern as part of the Tree (see attached, From a tutorial).

Inventor Pattern tool, is very different from how Solidworks works. I guess I am very confused how the pattern tool works with Inventor. Seems like you can only use it once and if you screw up or want to change something you are screwed and need to start over.
