While I had assembly A open in Inventor, the assembly file and some of its sub assemblies and parts were overwritten on my local drive with an older version. Now I cannot save the current version of the file that is open in Inventor.

Is there a way to get past this? Does Inventor have a temp location that I could access to replace the "old" files that were accidentally placed on the local drive?

Using 2015 Inv. Pro.

Any help will be most appreciated!

In each location of your stored Inventor files is a folder called OldVersions.  The number of retained last saves are based on what you called out in your active project file.   You may be lucky and have one in there that you can use.
