Re-referencing in Presentations!

Hi All,

Why is it that we still can't re-reference Assembly files in Presentations?!?!?!...

I've 'saved copy as' for parts that are being adjusted (length only), and have 'saved copy as' for the assembly and assembly IDW also.

In an ideal world I should be able to do the same for the existing IPN and then reference the new (longer) assembly.

However I can't.

I can't even trick inventor via Design Assistant and renaming files.

Help.

Hello Ross,

Try with replace component workflow with the same file for different name such as A, A1, there are the same, but nothing up dated in the IPN. In addition, Save as and Save copy as is the same result. 

It is a defect to me and will contact project team for a better understanding.

Please try the "Save as" command rather than "Save copy as", hope it helps!

Confirmed with Developer (Thanks Laiji!), it was identified as a defect and tracked by INVGEN-14050.
