"No Valid Solid Bodies" upon export to STL

Greetings:

I made a simple sketch whjich I revolved around the center axis in order to create a model of a holder for a glue bottle. I tried to export as an STL for 3D printing and I get the following error message:

"No valid solid bodies to output to STL file"

Is there a rule where a revolution won't export to STL? I've attached the file.

Using Inventor Pro 2015.

Thanks for any help!

Hi,

The reason why Inventor is saying that there are no solid bodies is because you revolved the sketch as a surface.

Therefore there's only a surface body and no solid body.

Look at the screencast, revolve the sketch as a solid body and your good to go!

Also, try to fully constrain your sketch before using features.

Wow, Frank, thanks for going to all that trouble to guide me through.

I'm a bit embarrassed... I used to know that I had to choose a solid body output when executing the revolution. I've gotten very rusty.

Thanks again... GREATLY appreciated!
