"Fit Text" width inside of a title block

Is there a way to force text to fit inside of a specified width inside of a title block? The "Fit Text" command is greyed out and says it only functions inside of a sketch...

"Fit Text" only works for single line text you need to select that first (horizontal line icon) then "fit" should become available..

Thank you! Disappointing I couldn't find that simple piece of info through AutoDesk help. (or at least it is not easily found)
