Quadro vs Titan Xp/1080ti for 2018 Inventor

I am going to build a workstation soon and was just wondering whether Inventor 2018 has specific Quadro support to where using a Quadro P4000 as opposed to say a Titan Xp or 1080ti is ideal? I have the option of purchasing the Titan xp over the quadro and would very much like to know the benefits of Quadro. I do moslty CAD and some rendering within and outside of inventor.

I think the basic conclusion of the benchmark thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/how-fast-is-your-inventor-pc-really/m-p/5950908/highli...

is that you are better off with a fast single-threaded processor than a fancy graphics card. As far as I can tell, the work in spinning or displaying the CAD model is much less than the work required to calculate the geometry with the CPU. (or load it from the network or local storage)

I would buy a mid-range card with enough RAM to drive all your displays.  Quadro or gaming does not seem to make a difference in day-to-day usage.  If you have a problem, you might get better support from a vendor with a "pro" card.  On the other hand, many users on this forum have been happy with the gaming cards.

I have a 1050ti, but I don't see much difference between it and the old Quadro 2000 I used to run.

TFI on youtube has some great Inventor hardware related videos. He also posts around here though embarrassingly I forget his nick here.

TFI is @Neil_Cross

His videos and posts to the performance thread have really improved the public understanding of Inventor and hardware performance.

I have seen TFI's videos on this topic but I don't believe he has done a comparison on the new pascal architecture quadros in comparison to the likes of the titan x and 1080ti.
