hi i am trying to make a 3-D model of the death star and i cant figure out how to place a work plane on the sphere thats not perpendicular or parallell to its axis. Is it possible to do so?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes.... you can place the plane in everwhere you want.... sometimes you may need one (or more) extra plane, or axis, or point to achieve the final plane..... now deppends of your imagination and skills...
I believe you need at first one plane with angle, and then the plane will be parallel with this new angled plane and tg with the sphere...... or
maybe create a point in the sphere, next you can chose this point to plce there a plane tg with the sphere.... good tips!!... hein?
Here is how to create various types of workplanes..
See if these videos help..
Of course the first sketch of a death star should be a circle revolve centered on all 3 existing origin planes like this...
Here's how I would do it, with the ability to control angles individually from origin axes. Workplane2 was constructed by picking the endpoint of the sketch line and the surface of the sphere; in other words, tangent to the sphere at that specific point.
