Proper way to set threaded relationships

I am assembling a threaded shaft, and I was going to create the threaded part by mating with an offset, but will this work to twist the thread in and out during a Studio animation?  Is there some other, "more proper," way to join threaded parts?  Thanks!

A Google search for "Autodesk Inventor Studio Screw Animation" will yield quite a few videos/tutorials that will give you a few different ways..

It could be as simple as using the animate components to set a distance and rotation or you could drive constraints,etc... even going into dynamic simulation depending on what your end goal really is..

See if those videos help get you what you want..
