Hello,

I drilled a hole in the asembly, but this hole doesn't appear in the part.

How to synchronise it ?

Thanks a lot !

Hi! In general, Inventor does not propagate assembly-level features to parts. It is because assembly features are features that you operate after the parts are assembled. If you want to add the features to the parts, you could use Bolted Connection to push the holes to the parts.

Many thanks!

As stated Inventor doesn't have a built in tool to do that.. (It should.. but it doesn't)

This app/extension for Inventor works well though..

I'd use it before I tried to fumble with the bolted connection generator suggested by Johnson..

I am going tu use the Bolted Connection fonction. Thank you very much for your answer. I don't understand why it isn't possible to do this operation with such a software. I don't like this argument of "doing like reality". I my case I just needed to assamble the pars to know where are holes. This is the trick I found to do it simply. Findind tricks, this is the reality !

Thanks again 🙂

You can, I have done this for years.

Simply edit the parts (in the context of the assembly) rather than the assembly.

If you turn off Component Transparency in the assembly - the screen will look no different editing parts (except that you will have more functionality than simply cutting material) than it does when editing assembly features.
