Problems with converting units.

hello,

I am new to inventor and am having trouble when I import my AutoCAD .dwg files.  They are drawn in AutoCAD in mm, but when I open them in inventor, they display as inches.  there has been no actual conversion, but the output is saying the wrong unit.  For example 12in rather than 12mm.  I have tried to change my default template to mm, but the problem persists.  Is there no way to simply change the units like there is in AutoCAD Format -> Units...

In AutoCAD make sure Measurement is set to 1.

Command: MEASUREMENT
Enter new value for MEASUREMENT <1>

Make sure you are open the (mm) template.

How are you importing the Autocad doc? From the sketch?

I am simply pressing the file open button on the top left of the screen.

Can you attach an example AutoCAD file here?

The first test I am going to run is -dwgunits.

CarlosC got it, theMeasurement option worked.

What you have to do in inventor is change the detected units from "Inches" to "mm"

Works a treat.

I recommend that you create a new template for your AutoCAD work as -dwgunits indicates your current units were inches.
