Hello,
I have recently received a computer with Windows 10 on it and have installed Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014.
While trying to import application option settings, I have come upon an issue that the actual button for 'Import' or 'Export' does not exist.
Any ideas why this is? Can this be a compatibility issue?
Thanks!
Yoni

That could be part of if ...
But Windows 10 and Inventor 2014 are not compatible
Personally I'm for 2017 and up for Window's 10
Can you share a screenshot of your Applications Options Popup?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..
Can you show us where you're not seeing the import or export button of Application Options? Are you saying the dialog is cut off? It looks like we posted at the same time..
Have you applied all updates to Inventor 2014: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/downloads?release=2014
Meaning service pack 2 first followed by update #8?

Yeah I just now saw my double post...
Yes I downloaded and ran service pack 2 and update 8 (as well as service pack 1 and update 3).
A major point that needs to be posted again:
Windows 10 isn't on the support OS's for 2014 ... you'll see other problems besides this ...\
So we can figure out how to get the application options to import, but you'll have other issues....
@Anonymous
And to add to @mdavis22569 posting about not being supported under Win 10..
Recent Win 10 updates are impacting these legacy versions of Autodesk products. It may work for a while and then stop working at all.. In addition since its not supported by Autodesk most likely it will not be repaired and then you're left with no CAD software. I guess I wouldn't risk running Inventor 2014 under Win 10s just for these reasons. Are you in commercial environment?

Since no one has said anything about it.. Inventor 2014 is not supported on Windows 10..
You should roll back to Windows 8.
System requirements are here.. You should always follow that or expect problems..
HUH ... I see 2 by me ... and 1 by @Mark.Lancaster saying Nope to Windows 10 ...
Thank you for your time. It's a good thing I found this issue early on. I'll make sure to run it on an earlier version of windows. Thanks!
Inventor 2014 isn't supported on Windows 10.
If you intend to stick with a legacy program rather than upgrading as other hardware/OS changes - I recommend that you purchase several used legacy machines and keep them in a closet for backup for when you current machine dies.
A lot of old-car aficionados collect a "boneyard" of cars of same model for spare parts.
I would like to note that I found a solution to my issue. I set the compatibility mode for Inventor 2014 on my computer for Windows 7 (see link for further details - https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/set-compatibility-mode-windows-10)
This completely solved my issue.
Thanks again!
That's awesome ...
I would be VERY CAUTIOUS running in still ... as it's not a supported OS and you could have issues with Video Card drivers / file corruption due to crashes ...
