What version of Inventor?

Have you installed all Service Packs and Updates for your version?

Did you install with anti-virus and UAC disabled?

Did you install as administrator?

Do you have MS Excel installed on this machine?

Did you use

Install Now

Download Manager

or

Autodesk Virtual Agent?

Did you see this thread?

I never ever use Install Now.

Did you solve the problem using the information from that other thread?

If not, I recommend that you use the Autodesk Virtual Agent to download the Install Files and try running a Repair Install with AUC and anti-virus disabled.
