Printing and exporting to PDF using Grayscale

Hello,

I am trying to print and produce PDF drawings using grayscale, but it seems I can only use all colors or monochrome settings. Does anyone have a solution?

FYI I currently am running:

Inv 2017, SP1

Acrobat Reader DC

Do these drawings contain "shaded" views? Is that the reason for the grayscale needs?

Did you try setting the PDF printer (assuming you are using Adobe distiller/printer) to "black and white"?

It does produce a "grayscale" like image for me...

Hi @Anonymous

I suppose you have used the "save as" command ?

Please try with the "print" command and set "black and white" in paper/quality options.

Yes we are using a shaded view for our company logo and does not show well in black & white. The only way I can produce a PDF is the following path: file, export, PDF and then change my options. I cannot print to PDF or "save as" PDF only export.

Not anymore..

Simply install the free cutepdf writer.. Now you can print to pdf and set to "black and white" and you will get grayscale..

CutePDF was defiantly the answer, I only wish it could have been integral to Inventor since our IT department gets finicky when downloading unapproved software.

Thanks,
