Presentation file

Within a presentation file, is it possible to create an animation to rotate one part in an assembly from multiple points of rotation at the same time while on the same plane? I want to show fluid movement of a mechanism.

A good example of this would be the movement of a bucket on a ferris wheel.

I know this can be done by driving constraints and exporting a short animation from the assembly file but I want to show more than just this movement in a presentation.

Could probably do this in Presentation *.ipn

but this sounds like Environments>Inventor Studio would be more appropriate

and/or

Environments>Dynamic Simulation if you want to simulate Gravity and other forces.

Me personally I have never rotated a component in an IPN file.  According to this link you can do it.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Inventor-Help/files/G...

Now, with that said, if you can rotate it, the IPN has the ability to play back an animation.

Another thought would be to constrain to model to have the movement you want and use the screen-cast free download tool to capture the movement in a video.

Besides that, you are looking into getting the Autodesk 3DS Max.
