Points / Dots(.) instead of commas(,) in the file name of a content center file

At one of our engineering stations we are having the problem that when a new content center file is created, the comas are changed into points (dots).

"DIN 912 - M3x0,5 - 16 - RVS A2-70.ipt" is changed into "DIN 912 - M3x0.5 - 16 - RVS A2-70.ipt"

the problem with that is that a lot of duplicate files end up in our Vault.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be due to?

Hi, can you tell us what version of Inventor you see this with?  Has it happened in other versions as well?

Hi

We're currently working in Inventor Professional 2024, but we had the same problem in 2022. The problem has been going on for a while and, as I described, only affects one of the six engineering PCs.

I've seen similar issue before, but for parameters & iProperties. I believe this might be due to language-settings in windows, as this can control the format of the decimal marker. Might be an idea to compare the language settings for this workstation against the other workstations. If there are differences, any changes you do to the settings might require a restart of the workstation to take effect in Inventor.

Thanks!!!
That was indeed the problem.
If you go to Windows settings, go to time and language, and then to language and region, the regional settings should be set to "recommended."
After that, the problem was solved.

(the translation may not be 100% correct because my windows is set to dutch.)
