PDF Generation in Inventor

I have a customer that is trying to export his .idw files to pdf and up until a couple weeks ago this took a matter of seconds to generate, now he says it takes close to 10 minutes to generate.  Anyone care to jump in and give me a solution to the issue?

Odd, I just did a 4 sheet drawings export to PDF inside IV and it took 4sec.

Check the default DPI and try to a different folder. Something like the local Downloads folder.

A good old reboot of the system, as well. You could have a Windows SP that requires a restart to finish the install.

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

They are using vault so my assumption is it has something to do with it maybe when they did a service pack upgrade or something.  They sent me their .idw drawing and I as well was able to generate a pdf file locally on my machine in seconds.

Are they doing the export via Inventor or Vault?  You may have to go to another forum if it's the latter.  If it's Inventor, is the export done via the built in export tool, or is it through the printer function?  If it's done with the printer function, which pdf printer are you using?

Hi! Is it possible they are using different PDF export options than the default ones? For example, do they select "All Sheets" and also very high DPI value? The default is "Current Sheet" at 400 DPI.

Many thanks!

I occassionally face that issue if I leave my WS on overnight, just a simple on/off fixes it, I reckon just clearing out the memory helps.
