Pattern part along a path assembly

Hello,
I'm trying to pattern a cablechain used for a machine. I've created a model including both mounting brackets for the chain and the part that the chain consists of. The pattern should look like a "candy cane" shape and the total lenght of the chain should be approximatley 2425 mm. It's not the most important part, i would just like it to look good in the model. I've used the tecnique where i create a part that represents the path i want it to have and then use feature pattern in the assembly model for the part. It's a tecnique i've used successfully before with similar challenges but i just cant seem to get this one right and now i think i've spent to much time thinking about this and i would appreciate  if someone else could take a look if this is possilbe to solve 😅

Thank you in advance!

Hi

A chain is never a circle - it's always a polygon. Create a path with a polygon, not an arc. And remember to make a straight path equal to a multiple of the links.

Thank you for answering, you seem to be alot smarter than me! Already starting to look alot better. Can you by any chance explain more on what you mean with the straight path equal to the multiple of the links?

Any similarities to that in the McMaster-Carr website? cable carriers | McMaster-Carr

In addition to the links arranged along the polygon, you also have several segments arranged in a straight line. Remember that the length of this line must be divisible by the length of the segment, so that the segment connections are at the ends of each lines.
