Pack and Go - Sub-assembly File Paths

When trying to pack and go an assembly to another folder within the same .ipj, the only assembly that actually changes its file path to the new folder is the main assembly. All sub-assemblies and parts keep their original file path reference to our main parts database.

I am basically trying to pull an assembly and its dependents from our main parts database and have my own "play ground" to do design work on parts and assemblies while keeping the original assembly/dependents healthy for others to access it back in the database. This is an iLogic assembly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

In my opinion pack and go shouldn't be used for this..  Pack n go is used for sending your model and its information outside of your organization.   I would assume based on your posting you are no using Vault but have you considered iLogic Design Copy?  https://synergiscadblog.com/2014/09/23/copy-files-easily-with-ilogic-design-copy-even-without-ilogic...

You are correct, we do not use Vault. As you suggested, iLogic Design Copy is more of what I was looking for.
