Opening newer Inventor version files on an older version of Inventor

My educationally accessed version of the product is Inventor 2024, while my college uses Inventor 2017.

Is it possible to open the 2024 files on Inventor 2017 in the college computer laboratory?

No, not as native files.  You would have to export in a neutral format like STEP

But why is your school using an ancient release when Autodesk products are free to educational institutions?

I would be looking at transferring to another school.

I recommend that you meet with the school dean and ask that they join this discussion.
