Can inventor make life little easier by providing a option to copy and past the location link of files directly in the open tab. Also add a option for favorites.2019-11-26 12_36_02-Autodesk Inventor 2019 - [My Home].png

You can add that in Project.

"Frequently  Used Subfolders"

Thanks for the reply.

I used project file but in that case assembly will not reference to the parts outside the location of project file so I do not use project file now as I have various files stored in different folders.

I know there is one more option of adding it in shortcut. Question is why Inventor has every thing so old school and time consuming.2019-11-26 12_36_02-Autodesk Inventor 2019 - [My Home].png

Inventor will reference files outside Workspace.

It'll give you warning.

Turn on "Allow Duplicate File name".  Inventor will remember full path for reference.

You cannot "not use project file".  Inventor will always use a project file.

Turn on "Allow Duplicate File name"

Is this in vault or inventor option?

We do not have vault yet

Also you can keep everything under same Folder (Workspace).

Lots of users do it this way.  Instead of one Project file for each project/job.
