Sketchup will import dwg files. I saved your file as an Autocad 2018 dwg and attached it.

Dimensions are too big if the above picture is accurate (over 2 thousand meters).

You can usually open any DWF in Inventor by first starting a sketch then Insert > ACAD > select DWF format.

Hello,

The scale is in meters ! It should measure roughly 70 meters long. Is it still too  big ?

Its a pity we have to struggle with INVENTOR for such a simple task !

Sorry, I misread your post, and did not answer it correctly. Either too much coffee or not enough. @CCarreiras and @Gabriel_Watson have given valid solutions.

Hi! The geometry is extremely far away from the origin (50000+m from origin), way exceeding the valid model range of Inventor (+-100m in X, Y, and Z directions). Please open it in AutoCAD, move it closer to the origin, and save. Then import it to Inventor.

Another way is to open it in AutoCAD and copy&paste it to an Inventor 2D sketch.

Many thanks!

Hello John !

Thank you for sharing that. I will know better to request next time to request drawings with the origin shifted on the data !

Thank you for preparing that excellent video ! I learned from it.

For some reason, however, the data  in you video comes in jagged as if it were corrupted. The same happened to me. When I export the data from SketchUP, it imports nicely into Inventor. The curves are smooth.

Thx again !
