.obj files problem with objects renaming themselfs

having problem exporting . obj file. Objects rename on their own. I have assembly with object named as "door" for example and after exporting the assembly as .obj all object are named "object1:1" etc. how do I prevent this? (using updated 2021 version)

I forgot to mention, that while using this: OBJ Exporter for Autodesk® Inventor® | Autodesk App Store

it works just fine, I just can't pay that much for something that I'm going to use for 3 months in one project only. Build in function "export as CAD format" doesn't work the it should. (?)

Hi! You may want to contact the vendor created Object Exporter. It is not an Autodesk app. Regarding your comments about the build-in OBJ Export command not working, please elaborate. I would like to understand the failure better.

Many thanks!

i dont have any problem with the Prototech Object exporter it works just fine. What does not work for me is the bulid in function. It does export a .obj and .mtl file, but the objects in the file are named “object 1:1” etc. In the assembly, they have different names. When I use the Prototech software, it works fine.

Hi! I guess the closest thing in Inventor is to export an assembly into multiple (part-specific) OBJ. You can change the Structure option in Options dialog from "One" to "One file per part instance."

Many thanks!

that is not what i need. I need one obj file that has correct object names in it. (When you opět it in Notepad, it has to have correct names not object1:1 etc.) exporting multiple obj files is not helpful at all
