No Design Tab in Inventor Professional 2015

Hello I recently I downloaded my copy from your sight and I can’t
pull up the “Design Tab” of gear drawings.

Does the 2015 Autodesk Inventor Professional –student Version, have a Design Tab?
If it does come with a Design Tab, do I need to reinstall the  program?

Thank you.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community.

This type of question should've been asked over in the Inventor Forum.  This forum is only for installation and licensing issues.  You are getting into specific details about a given application.  Also its not our site that you downloaded the software from..  The software and site belongs to Autodesk.  We are only users here (its a peer to peer network) and wanted to make sure you understood that in case you thought you were speaking to Autodesk.  Smiley Wink

Now to your problem..  Are you in an assembly mode?  If you are in a part mode you will not see the DESIGN tab.  Make sure to start an assembly to access the "DESIGN ACCELERATOR" functions or see the "DESIGN" ribbon tab.

One final thing.. A student copy is the same as a commercial or purchased version.  There's no difference except students get it free for 3 years..

Hi! Design tab is available in assembly document. You will need to open an iam file or start an new assembly file by selecting an assembly template.

Many thanks!
