The sketch I am doing is the second in the part. I start off on sketching on
the xy plane. Then when I select the XZ plane, that's when it does it. I
don't wish to begin my part on the XZ plane.
Try this:
1. Start a new part, sketch and extrude a simple shape on the XY plane.
2. Select the XZ plane in the origin folder, create a new sketch.
3. Bingo.
