Nesting Help - Overlapping Parts in Nest

I keep getting results like this. What am I doing wrong?

My guess would be that the shape of the curved part is not successfully extracted.

Do you see any warnings in the browser or in the Sources dialog concerning this part?

Is it an IPT or a DXF/DWG part? Does the shape contain splines? Could also be that the shape is not closed.
Can you attach the two parts to the forum so we can inspect further?

There is nothing wrong with the curved part at first sight.

Can you also send us the square part? 
It could also be the square part that has non-closed geometry.

We probably need your inest file as well. I am suspecting there is some combination of parameters used in your nest that triggers this behavior.

I get the following result when using 6 pieces of the curved part and 1 of the rectangular part:

I'll try this post again, I don't know why my first response didn't go through.

 

I am starting to think it has to do with another problem I'm having with IV were it struggles to set a part to a sheet metal style that isn't the same as the body it's derived from.

 

See screencasts. The first one recognizes the part as having a different material even though they share the same styles. But once the body that the problem part is dervived from is changed to that style, it works out that they are the same.

Andrew, 

This is a bug related to the use of deviation and increment angles.

If you would unbind the parts and set both deviation and increment angles to zero, the problem will disappear but of course you might end up with less favorable nest efficiency.

I logged this in our defect database under number TRUNINV-1765.
