Nested Grain Matching

Hello,

I feel certain this has already been addressed, but I haven't found anything after searching, sorry if it's a duplicate.

Is there a way to group parts for wood grain matching with Inventor Nesting?

I've tried grouping the parts into assemblies, but that didn't work.

Also tried setting different priorities for the individual parts, and different part, material, and nesting properties, none worked.

I'm guessing the parts go through some version of a non-guillotine-cutting algorithm so I'm not sure how they would be singled out for aligned orientation and sequential grouping, but it sure would be great if this was a native feature in Inventor Nesting.

I'm aware this is available in Woodworking for Inventor.

Thanks for any help.

Hi! I could be wrong. But based on my limited understanding of Nesting, I don't believe it is doable yet.

Many thanks!
