Need Registry Key for legacy parts list in 2023

If you look under the "Inventor What's New" section for Inventor 20232 under the Drawing Enhancements, there is one that states, "Remove legacy parts list options".  First off.  I don't understand why this would be listed as an enhancement, but we need it and it says that "if necessary to display the legacy parts list, the registry key can be provided."  So my question is, how?

I found documentation with these steps:

1.  Make sure Inventor is closed.

2. Open the Registry Editor.

3. Go to: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion27.0\System\Preferences

4. Create the Registry as per the image below:

The image shows a value name: EnableLegacyBOMSchemeOptions

Value data of 1 and a Hexadecimal Base.

When I add a new key, it will not allow me to change the name of it.  Is there more specific directions that someone can give me?

Edit: to create a value, select the "Preferences" key/folder (the one above where you want to insert your new value), and then pick DWORD:

It should activate the new value for you to name it upon creation, but you can always right-click it and Rename later:

EDIT: the value should be Hexa, and Value Data = 1.

That is the exactly what I referenced and have listed out in my own reply, but I am not familiar enough with this process.  What I tried was going to that location and adding a new key.  Then I added a DWORD (32-bit) Value and set the values as shown in the picture, but that did not work.  That is why I was asking for more specific directions then that link.

Inventor should be closed, while changing this, or at least reboot Inventor. Maybe try rebooting your PC as well, and switching project files back and forth to make sure things are refreshed.

I did not see your pictures below the first time, but what you are showing is exactly what I tried, and it didn't work.  Do I have to reboot or something?

o.k.  I got it.  What I did wrong is I first added a key and named it EnableLegacyBOMSchemeOptions and then added the DWord (32-bit)Value, instead of just adding it directly to the Preferences.  I guess I figured that I needed to add a New Key since that is what it mentioned needing.  Thanks for your help!!

hi guys, sorry for my english, i have all everything ok!! look my attach image, and still not working, let me mention that i have Windows Domain User, when i go to local admin user legacy list works fine, so do you have any idea to solve this? @Gabriel_Watson

Can you try asking the Domain (not local) admin to perform the change for you? I think you could also try signing in with your Domain User as usual, then run "regedit" as administrator (any) to see if you can modify the registry value and see if it stays active. Perhaps this is more of a Windows question, and I could not find yet an answer on Windows forums about it (aside from complicated Group Policies/Preferences).
