Moving dimensions created by the measure tool

Is there a way to move or relocate the dimensions that show up using the "Measure" tool? I'm often taking screen grabs of measurements to send to people to show them a particular dimension. Of course, the measurement often gets lost in the model. E.g:

 I want to drag it to the side so it's easier to see. Like this:

This was a work-around by measuring to the XZ plane instead of the bottom face of the part, which happened to work in this instance. But it doesn't always work like that.

Is there a way of moving the dimensions? Clicking and dragging them doesn't work. Or is this just another intuitive feature that Inventor just doesn't have?

Why not use Annotation rather than Measure?

Attach your file(s) here if you can't figure it out.

I guess that works. It takes more steps, because you have to select which plane you want your annotation to sit on, and I can't seem to create a keyboard shortcut for "create dimension" (unlike one key press for "measure"). But it'll do, thanks.

@peter.kapitola

Experiment with Spacebar and Shift too while placing the dimensions.
