Modified Sine Curve in Cam Generator

Why hasn't Modified Sine Curve been included as one of the pre-defined functions included in the Motion Function to generate Disc Cams ?

I did try inputting the coordinates, from the profile generated in AutoCAD, as a Script file(.scr extension) in inventor, but there were plenty of discontinuities in the curve resulting in sudden surges in the values at the inflexion point.

Since this profile is widely used, it would be really handy to have it pre-defined. Also, since this profile is available in AutoCAD Mechanical, it could be made available in Inventor as well.

If you have Inventor Professional with Dynamic Simulation - you can import the curve directly from Excel spreadsheet.

Depending on the type of cam - you might not need DS, and could simply use Equation Curve instead.

We do have Inventor Professional with Dynamic Simulation. However, on importing the coordinates which were plotted from excel using the modified sine curve equation, there are points of discontinuities in the curve, which causes acceleration and thereby jerk values to peak at those points.

Instead if these were included as a pre-defined function, then this wouldn't be such an onerous task.
