Hello,

Have you looked in application options -> Assembly, and made sure that Defer Update is unchecked?

Hi! Please share the files here. I would like to understand the behavior better. Have you install 2019.4 update?

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Please see the attached model.  In the vertical pipe in the assy, small pin assy.

1 st instance at the top I placed and constrained. Below in the same pipe by linear pattern.

On the right side mirror image.

after that I modified the constrained of the 1st image, but the mirror image haven't move ?

Please explain the what is the wrong ?

In the mirror dialog box there are 2 options,

1. Reuses the selected component

2. Mirrors the selected component.

Please advice what is the best way to do this ?

Hi! I took a quick look at the assembly. I am sorry I am a bit confused. The newly inserted components are all grounded. They will not move. If I understood your design intent correctly, you are doing it wrong. The pins should be patterned together. Please take a look at attached file (BUTLINS MAXI BRICKIES SCAFFOLD FRAME ASSY_fixed.iam).

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Thanks for your response.

Please let me know the following.

1. Did you select reuses the selected component ?

2. If want to edit the mirror component, how to edit it ? It means any edit dialog box.

Hi! I did select Reuse option, because these parts should be identical unless you want to modify individually later. Mirror components help transform the component (reuse) or create newly mirrored components (create new). The newly created mirror part is essentially a derived part of the mirror source part.

Many thanks!

I'm still working with 2016, but I figured I'd ask here as it is relevant:

Currently, when components are mirrored, they float in free space. Oftentimes this becomes a hindrance, especially if the model is still a work in progress.

With 2019 or 2020, if components are mirrored in the assembly environment, then the originals are modified (placement or features), will the mirrored/child components move/update with the originals?
