I purchased a hobby engraving/milling machine, (3040) cheap but good enough for me to play with. I have the 2.5D profiling and milling working quite well with HSM but am struggling with text. From reading a few posts, it seems I need to drop it into AutoCAD and convert to single line text of a suitable line font which is a PITA.
I was wondering if anyone had a library of letters created with arcs lines etc that I can pocket, or better yet some code that i can select the mill diameter and create these pockets using a text editor, (something that recognises a character and replaces with said pocket)
otherwise a single line type font that I can put on my sketch and then use the trace tool and set my depth manually
Many thanks
