Marking sheet metal

We're trying to improve our processes and we got a laser in our shop that can mark sheetmetal pieces.

So we thought we could mark wherever a part needs to be welded to another part. In this case, part 5 to part 1.

I'm looking for something like the "split" command but I don't want to split the whole face, just some markings so the shop can know where it is supposed to be. Any ideas?

Unfortunately we are working in Inventor 2021 still, this is a nice add by the way.

In that case, you can extrude cut sketch profile to 0.0001" to "mark".

More work for the laser.
