Lofted Flange Issue

All,

I'm having an issue with the way the lofted flange is creating a couple cross bends and wondering if you can help.  I've uploaded the part so you can see the issue and attached a picture as well, but the problem I'm having is when I create a lofted flange, its putting a cross bend in two different directions.  Is there a way I can get this to have the same cross bend that is on the front of the part to the back side of the part or is this just a glitch in how Inventor calculates it's bends?

Any help is much appreciated!  Thanks!

Jeremy

Hello @jkargasAC

I think this is just the way Inventor creates the Lofted Flange.

I have attached an .ipt with the bends the way you wanted it.

I split the model. Mirrored it. Then Flat Pattern it.

Hope this helps.

Thomas.

That's what I was thinking would need to be done but was hoping there was another way.  Thanks for the model!

Hi! Another option is to create the U shape Lofted Flange without having the two smaller flanges on the top. Then create them separately as flanges.

Many thanks!
