HI,

can someone please help? I seem to be having a issue with the loft feature for my canoe school project. all is fine until I try to add rails in the loft feature? Hi Wil,

You have to create a loft between the deck line and the keel line. Select them both for lofting. And the midship rib line is a Rail. Here is a file in IV2018 format.

P..S. Unconstrained sketches are a big No-No in any parametric modeller, let alone the Inventor. Make sure the sketches in your design are always fully defined.

Hi! When Loft does not work for you, you may want to try Boundary Patch. Usually, you will get better result than Loft when Loft fails.
