LOCKING AUTOCAD BLOCK TO A VIEW (Inventor 2022)

Does anyone know how to link a AutoCAD block to a view on a drawing so that the block moves with the view while messing with the layout? I am aware that sketch symbols have the leader work around but the AutoCAD block do not give that option.

Select your Inventor drawing view and start a sketch on it. Then select your AutoCAD block from Sheet > AutoCAD Blocks folder, and copy it. With the sketch inside the view active, paste the AutoCAD block in there. It should now move with the view window.

ok new issue... when I place that the block in the sketch it comes in as black and my background is black. how does one change the color of the block after pasting it in the sketch and it also "explodes" the block. Mind you the block is white not in the sketch.

Image 1: shows the block inside the sketch highlighted to show it exists.

Image 2: shows the block unlighted to show you cant see it.

You'll need to select the entity and alter its layer (top-right at the Annotate tab), or right click each sketch line/entity and go to Properties to pick another color directly. Play with these three settings to configure as you prefer it:
