Hi is the an option to lock the rotation of a concentric of inserted mate in inventor.

I am getting RSI from left clicking part selecting find in browser selecting the plane then selecting the constraint tool then selecting the angle mete then selecting the plane i want to constrain it to. Doing this 100 times is causing RSI I never got RSI from a cad application before.

SE an SW have a an option to lock the rotation of a concentric mate  which is useful for constraining fasteners.

Thanks

Use a Rigid Joint.

For Constraints there isn't a checkbox or something.

Just leave them free to rotate..

All my fasteners (bolts/screws/nuts) are just constrained with a single insert constraint..

Only a problem if your OCD about fasteners rotating or not being all perfectly straight compared to each other..

Which obviously doesn't happen in the real world either..

It slows the model down when you have rotating parts I.E gears and linkages on limit and rotational mates.
