Living Hinges

Someone please help! I need help figuring out how to create a live hinge box on autodesk inventor. We have to create a live hinge box in class on autodesk and I don't even know where to start. If anyone knows of a video tutorial please send me the link to my email. [email protected] Thank you!!!!!

@mdavis22569-- that video shows creating an ordinary butt hinge, made of three metal pieces.  OP is asking about a living hinge, which is typically between two halves of an injection molded plastic part, thin enough to be flexible, but tough enough to last through many flexes without breaking (although I've had shampoo bottle caps that broke before the shampoo was used up!).

This is relatively easy (if tricky) to do, but a part file is needed.

Just sketch the profile and extrude..

To do it "properly" that part should be modeled in the "as molded" orientation with both halves opened up..

Then you could create an ipart that would take that part and using "bend part" fold it like real life.
