Lines not shown in views

hi guys,

I am new to Inventor, got a quick question,

why are some lines not showing up when I create a view? see images below.

image on the right is the solid object, when I create a view for it, lines are missing on the left side.

any help is greatly appreciated.

If possible, can you upload the files as it's pretty tough to tell what you've done from a single picture.

If the model is a IAM file, use the Pack and Go utility to collect all the required files. If it's a single part, then the IPT file and the IDW file will do.

It appears that this is an assembly, and that the outer container and some of the inner parts are set as Reference (showing as phantom-type lines).  These components are not taken into consideration when calculating view margins, so they're simply outside the view.  Either change the outer container to Default (right click on component in assembly > BOM Structure setting > Default), or edit the view and increase the Margin value.
